Organic

Organically grown coffee is all-natural, produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides or other harmful chemicals. And since the coffee is grown organically the birds are never exposed to harsh chemicals, therefore the natural lifecycle of birds is unharmed.

Roasted on Premise

While a great bean is a good start, the roasting process is where the coffee’s flavour is produced. To ensure the freshest, best tasting coffee, we buy our coffee green and roast it ourselves daily in small batches.

Fairtrade

Trees Organic is also involved in supporting the economy of coffee growers fairly, by buying coffee that guarantees its growers a liveable wage.

Shade Grown

Our beans are shade grown, meaning that unlike other growers who clear cut extensive sections of the forest to plant coffee, and then blanket endless rows with plastic tarps to monitor sunlight, our beans are grown underneath the natural shade of existing trees, which maintains the areas’ natural ecology.

Bird Friendly

By preserving the existing trees and habitat, other plant life and animals are not adversely affected by the growing of coffee. This is why it is bird friendly. Upon migratory return to Canada, the birds’ health is unchanged and toxic chemicals are not introduced into our environment.
